A CHANGELESS GOSPEL IN A CHANGING WORLD.

I. Our World Changes Constantly!

A. Transportation---Mule to Superjet.

1. Men on the Moon, space probe, Hubble telescope, NASA works continually toward even greater accomp-lishments.

B. Communication---Telegram, Telephone (wireless & cell), T. V., VCR, DVD, AM-FM radios with tapes and/or discs, Computers with Web and E-Mail, Satellites for communication. You seldom see an t-v antennae any more.

C. Education---Public & Private, College, Post-Grad, etc

II. Some Changes Regarding The Lord’s Church.

A. Hometown congregation in Goodlettsville, TN. Once had a frame building near the R.R. Depot, poor lighting, No A.C. and not much heat in winter.

1. Now they meet in a large, well-equipped building on the main highway to Nashville.

B. Methodology in Preaching and Teaching (Discuss Early Church).

1. Radio & T. V. (Formal & Informal).

2. Personal Evangelism—One of the best—too few do this teaching. (Ex. of Philip & Eunuch, Acts 8).

3. Audio-Visuals—Charts, Overhead, Slides, VCR (Jule Miller), P. A. Systems (Wireless).

4. We need to stay as current as possible with the best teaching methods. Use our best means to proclaim the Gospel.

III. We Can Change The Methods But Not The Message!!

A. The full & complete Gospel message has been proclaimed

(Jude 3; Matt. 28:18-20).

B. The Gospel will endure until Christ returns (Matt. 24:35) "Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my word…"

C. The Gospel is not to be changed (Gal. 1:6-9).

D. We are to be faithful to the Gospel (I Pet. 4:11; II Tim. 2:15; II Tim. 2:2; II Peter 3:18).

1. We are to be in the world but not of the world!

E. What are the consequences of failing to obey the Gospel? (Mark 16:15,16; II Thess. 1:7-9).

F. What are the rewards for obedience?

1. Being a child of God (Gal. 3:26-29).

2. Peace & assurance here (Phil. 1:21; 4:11,13).

3. Salvation-Eternal Life (Matt. 25; Rev. 20).
