Day 22 – Wednesday, October 24, 2018

Today’s thought is shared by Melissa Mescher…

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

I really needed and wanted a job transformation last year. I began praying about it during our last 40 days of prayer. I wondered: “how can I make a job change?” Of course, worry and doubt set in: am I too old? I can’t learn new stuff. I don’t want to drive far. Can I make money? Can I work for myself from home?

All of these worries kept me from really stepping out of my comfort zone. Like most people, I was scared of change. Fortunately for me, I had a little nudge and the transformation began. I prayed about change, being happy, and working for myself. I learned you can teach an old dog new tricks. Plus, it is amazing all the skills you pick up along the way working for other people for 30 years.

To my amazement and prayers answered God helped me see I can do this. I have not missed a day of work since my job transformation. I have been truly blessed by some awesome business owners who put their trust in me. I am working for myself, I am happy, I am helping others, and God has provided for me each week.

Thank you dear Heavenly Father for all the blessings you have given to me and my family. Thank you for knowing just the right time and place where you want us to be. Help me grow each day to trust you more and show others Your Love. In Christ name I pray, Amen.
