Today’s thought is shared by Paula Fuller…
“Share your burdens with each other, thus fulfilling the will of God.” (Galatians. 6:2 ) “O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. For his mercy endures forever.” (1Chr. 16:34) “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalms 46:10) “The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.” (Psalms 34:15) “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!” (Phil 4:4)
Many bible verses have been resonating throughout my thoughts as of late. God has been so good to me and my husband, David. He has given us a Christian family to share our burden with, full of love and compassion in our time of need. I have been given many hugs of encouragement and much concern has been shown for David and his progress. But most of all, you have prayed for us. Not just prayed, but prayed hard and consistently for us. In a situation where we could have been judged harshly, we have been embraced and uplifted. Many prayers have been answered and God’s promises fulfilled. I know without a doubt that I belong to a church that is truly serving our Lord. I see you rejoicing with me as my husband attends services. You are as much a part of him being there as I am. You have been with us from the beginning of David’s journey of transformation. I know you will also continue to rejoice with us as we walk together our new path of Christian faith.
Dearest Father, thank you for being our God and loving us so much that you gave us your Son who came to earth to save us and to establish his church. Thank you for knowing our needs and listening to our petitions. Thank you when you answer our prayers and your will is fulfilled within us. In Jesus’ precious and holy name I pray, Amen.
