Our prayer devotional today is shared by Peter Welch.
I am weird! I have had two of my doctors look me in the eye and say, “Mr. Welch, you are just weird.” I am not offended by these observations. In my weirdness one of my favorite websites is NASA.gov and my favorite Facebook Pages are Space X and Discoveries, Hummingbirds, and Waterfalls. Unusual sites but all these feature pictures of the beauty and diverse nature of our universe which our all wise and all-powerful God spoke into existence. The universe is huge, measured in millions of light years but is admittedly much larger. To create all this God had to also create all the laws of science, nature, and all the laws of mathematics. All the things necessary for this universe to exist God created from nothing. God continues to sustain this universe until the time that He has determined for it to end. When I look at all of this, I realize that God made all of this for me. He wants me to enjoy His creation. But it also lets me know that no matter what I face in life God is bigger than my problems. I will never be able to ask something from God that is too big for Him to accomplish. He has the answer to all the things I face in life. He can and will fulfill all the amazing promises He has made to me.
O Lord help me to open my eyes to your wonderful power, might, wisdom and tender love that you have embedded in this universe. May it increase my faith and confidence in you. May I always be humble before you but bold to pour my heart out to you. In Jesus name.

¡Soy raro! Dos de mis médicos me miraron a los ojos y me dijeron: “Sr. Welch, eres simplemente raro”. No me ofenden estas observaciones. En mi rareza, uno de mis sitios web favoritos es NASA.gov y mis páginas favoritas de Facebook son Space X y Discoveries, Hummingbirds y Waterfalls. Sitios inusuales, pero todos estos presentan imágenes de la belleza y la naturaleza diversa de nuestro universo que nuestro Dios todopoderoso y sabio hizo existir. El universo es enorme, se mide en millones de años luz, pero hay que reconocer que es mucho más grande. Para crear todo esto, Dios tuvo que crear también todas las leyes de la ciencia, la naturaleza y todas las leyes de las matemáticas. Todas las cosas necesarias para que exista este universo Dios las creó de la nada. Dios continúa sosteniendo este universo hasta el momento que Él ha determinado que termine. Cuando miro todo esto, me doy cuenta de que Dios hizo todo esto para mí. Él quiere que disfrute de su creación. Pero también me permite saber que no importa lo que enfrente en la vida, Dios es más grande que mis problemas. Nunca podré pedirle a Dios algo que sea demasiado grande para que Él lo pueda lograr. Él tiene la respuesta a todas las cosas que enfrento en la vida. Él puede cumplir y cumplirá todas las maravillosas promesas que me ha hecho.
Oh Señor, ayúdame a abrir mis ojos a tu maravilloso poder, poder, sabiduría y tierno amor que has incrustado en este universo. Que esto aumente mi fe y confianza en ti. Que siempre sea humilde ante ti pero audaz para abrirte mi corazón. En el nombre de Jesus.
