“But he gives more grace. Therefore, it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4-6-7)

As I learned how-to live-in faith to our Lord, one of the important things I had to learn was how to be humble before God. I read an article recently that talked about humility and how so many think a person that is humble may like to walk around with his head down and doesn’t think he can do anything right. But that’s not at all what God’s word talks about when talking about humility. It really means to me that we can be honest about our sins and knowing we have a God that forgives our sins.
Pride stops us from acknowledging our flaws, God’s word teaches us to pursue humility and by this we can be honest with ourselves. We can give our whole heart to God without trying to hide or hold anything back. What a great blessing God gives us all! This allows us to freely submit ourselves to God. We can go about our lives in faith with humility that gives us the grace we need everyday to resist the devil. I am so blessed to have such humble examples in my life each day.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving us so much loving grace, for loving us so much that you gave up your Son Thanks for giving us your Word to teach us how to be humble in your sight. Father thank you for blessing us and giving the power to resist the devil through our faith. All Praise, Glory and Honor to you our Creator, Father and Lord. In Jesus Christ I pray! Amen

A medida que aprendí a vivir en la fe de nuestro Señor, una de las cosas importantes que tuve que aprender fue cómo ser humilde ante Dios. Leí un artículo recientemente que hablaba sobre la humildad y cómo muchos piensan que a una persona humilde le gusta caminar con la cabeza gacha y no cree que pueda hacer nada bien. Pero eso no es en absoluto de lo que habla la palabra de Dios cuando habla de humildad. Realmente significa para mí que podemos ser honestos acerca de nuestros pecados y saber que tenemos un Dios que perdona nuestros pecados.
El orgullo nos impide reconocer nuestros defectos, la palabra de Dios nos enseña a buscar la humildad y así podemos ser honestos con nosotros mismos. Podemos dar todo nuestro corazón a Dios sin tratar de esconder o retener nada. ¡Qué gran bendición nos da Dios a todos! Esto nos permite someternos libremente a Dios. Podemos vivir nuestras vidas en fe con humildad que nos da la gracia que necesitamos todos los días para resistir al diablo. Me siento muy bendecida de tener ejemplos tan humildes en mi vida todos los días.
Padre Celestial, te agradezco por darnos tanta gracia amorosa, por amarnos tanto que entregaste a tu Hijo Gracias por darnos tu Palabra para enseñarnos a ser humildes ante tus ojos. Padre gracias por bendecirnos y darnos el poder de resistir al diablo a través de nuestra fe. Toda Alabanza, Gloria y Honor a ti nuestro Creador, Padre y Señor. En Jesucristo oro! Amén
