I sometimes cannot believe how fortunate I am to have my friend, Peggy Brown. I moved away from my family to marry the love of my life, gorgeous Steve. It is difficult to leave your family, your friends and your church home. But God knew that someday Robert Brown (from Goodlettsville, Tn) and Kerri Grinder (from Goodlettsville, TN) would be sitting side by side on the pews of Great Oaks church of Christ. He also knew that I would need my sweet Peggy. I know that everyone feels like Peggy belongs especially to them because she loves on all of us so well. She is like the mother of our entire congregation. She is always there with a kind smile, a warm hug and word of encouragement. She is the true example of a Christian lady and we all love her. She also works behind the scenes harder than anyone knows. She finds ways every single day to serve those in our congregation. She has made punch for every bridal and baby shower for decades. Do you know how much trouble that is? Try it just one time. She cares for our shut-ins, cooks for and coordinates a meal for everyone who needs one, ministers at Hope Works, teaches the nursery class and ladies class, and the list goes on and on. She puts all of us younger than herself to shame with her spirit of love and servitude. And while her Biblical wisdom is overflowing, we can all learn just by watching her example. Even when her foot gives her trouble, even when the weather is bad, even when she is really tired, God (and His sheep) come first. She will get me for writing this because she is so humble. Just another one of her beautiful Christian traits. That’s ok. When she gets close enough to get on to me I’m going to grab her and hug her as hard as I can. I love you, my sweet Peggy, more than you will ever know.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you so much for sweet Peggy Brown. Thank you for all that she means to me & to all of us. She and her precious Robert have filled our hearts with Your love. Oh, that this old world had more precious souls like hers. Please shower your best blessings upon her for all of her days. Thank you, Lord, for her. In Jesus’ name, Amen

A veces no puedo creer lo afortunada que soy de tener a mi amiga, Peggy Brown. Me alejé de mi familia para casarme con el amor de mi vida, el hermoso Steve. Es difícil dejar a su familia, a sus amigos y a su iglesia en casa. Pero Dios sabía que algún día Robert Brown (de Goodlettsville, Tn) y Kerri Grinder (de Goodlettsville, TN) estarían sentados uno al lado del otro en los bancos de la iglesia de Cristo de Great Oaks. También sabía que necesitaría a mi dulce Peggy. Sé que todos sienten que Peggy les pertenece especialmente porque nos ama a todos muy bien. Ella es como la madre de toda nuestra congregación. Ella siempre está allí con una sonrisa amable, un cálido abrazo y una palabra de aliento. Ella es el verdadero ejemplo de una dama cristiana y todos la amamos. También trabaja entre bastidores más duro de lo que nadie sabe. Ella encuentra maneras todos los días de servir a aquellos en nuestra congregación. Ella ha hecho ponche para cada despedida de soltera y baby shower durante décadas. ¿Sabes cuánto problema es eso? Pruébalo una sola vez. Ella se preocupa por nuestros encerrados, cocina y coordina una comida para todos los que la necesitan, ministra en Hope Works, enseña la clase de guardería y la clase de damas, y la lista sigue y sigue. Ella nos avergüenza a todos los más jóvenes que ella con su espíritu de amor y servidumbre. Y mientras su sabiduría bíblica está desbordada, todos podemos aprender con solo ver su ejemplo. Incluso cuando su pie le da problemas, incluso cuando el clima es malo, incluso cuando está realmente cansada, Dios (y Sus ovejas) son lo primero. Ella me conseguirá por escribir esto porque es muy humilde. Solo otro de sus hermosos rasgos cristianos. Eso está bien. Cuando se acerque lo suficiente como para acercarse a mí, la agarraré y la abrazaré tan fuerte como pueda. Te amo, mi dulce Peggy, más de lo que jamás sabrás.
Querido Padre Celestial: Muchas gracias por la dulce Peggy Brown. Gracias por todo lo que ella significa para mí y para todos nosotros. Ella y su precioso Robert han llenado nuestros corazones con Tu amor. Oh, que este viejo mundo tenía almas más preciosas como la de ella. Por favor, derrama tus mejores bendiciones sobre ella durante todos sus días. Gracias, Señor, por ella. En el nombre de Jesús, Amén
