Today is October 9, 2023 and we are on a Honduras mission trip. Five of us were door-knocking and we saw a lady sitting in her doorway just watching time pass by. We asked if we could come and talk to her. We asked the preliminary questions and then we asked if she attended church and she said “no”. So we asked if she had a church she preferred and she said “no”. Do you have a bible and her answer was “no”. We then told her that as a church, we only believed in the bible. We talked some more and she read from the bible we loaned her. We started from the beginning and then to the birth of Christ and why he came, baptism and the purpose. Then we asked her “Do you want to be baptized?” Tears were already in her eyes and she said “yes”. She is now a new Christian and Our sister Elena.
Our Father who art in heaven, Holy is thy name. We thank thee for hearing our prayers and helping us bring others to you regardless of their belief before they know you. Help us Lord to bring many more to you so they may be cleansed and have a long life serving thee. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Larry Jackson comparte el pensamiento devocional de hoy
Hoy es 9 de octubre de 2023 y estamos en un viaje misionero a Honduras. Cinco de nosotros estábamos tocando puertas y vimos a una señora sentada en su puerta mirando pasar el tiempo. Le preguntamos si podíamos venir a hablar con ella. Hicimos las preguntas preliminares y luego le preguntamos si asistía a la iglesia y dijo “no”. Entonces le preguntamos si tenía una iglesia que prefería y dijo “no”. ¿Tienes una biblia? Y su respuesta fue “no”. Luego le dijimos que, como iglesia, sólo creíamos en la Biblia. Hablamos un poco más y ella leyó la Biblia que le prestamos. Empezamos desde el principio y luego hasta el nacimiento de Cristo y por qué vino, el bautismo y el propósito. Luego le preguntamos: “¿Quieres bautizarte?” Las lágrimas ya estaban en sus ojos y dijo “sí”. Ahora es una nueva cristiana y Nuestra hermana Elena.
Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, Santo es tu nombre. Te agradecemos por escuchar nuestras oraciones y ayudarnos a atraer a otros hacia ti, independientemente de sus creencias, antes de que te conozcan. Ayúdanos Señor a traer muchos más a ti para que sean limpiados y tengan una larga vida sirviéndote. En el nombre de Jesús, Amén.
