This morning we overview the Old Testament timeline, and then we focus in on Jerusalem’s destruction in 586 BC. Jeremiah lived through Jerusalem’s fall, so why was he still hopeful after it happened? And what do we learn from his experience?
Tonight we complete our “Adventures in Bible Reading” studies with a series of events in the life of Jeremiah. It involves King Jehoiakim, the son of King Josiah, and it’s interesting (and sad) to notice how different the father and son were in their attitudes toward God’s word. What can we learn from it?
