Wednesday Night Summer Series – “Away to the Wilderness: The Temptation of Jesus”

Tonight we continue our 2018 Wednesday Night Summer Series!  Our series theme this year is “Summer Travels,” as we study some of the best-known biblical ‘travels.’  Tonight’s lesson is shared by Dave Phillips of the Germantown Church of Christ (Germantown, TN), entitled: “Away to the Wilderness: The Temptation of Jesus.”

PM – Tell Me About the Kingdom

Tonight we begin a Sunday night series on Jesus’ “Kingdom Parables” in the Gospel of Matthew. Let’s start with one of the great scenes in Jesus’ life, found in Matthew chapter 13: Jesus teaching from a boat, the crowd on the beach, listening to Jesus tell stories about the kingdom. What do those stories teach us about the nature and value of Christ’s kingdom?

AM – Hope in God: Jesus Will Change Everything

We have been studying the biblical idea of Hope all year long. This morning, we study one of the most hopeful events in history, and one that our culture is thinking about more this time of year: the coming of the Savior, Jesus Christ. The stories around Christ’s coming sometimes get mixed up in popular culture, so let’s go back and see what Scripture says about it, and see what God might want us to learn from it…
