May 28, 2023 – Sunday PM Worship – “I Don’t Want To Be A Pharisee”

Sunday evening sermon by Chase Surrell. The Pharisees were a religious group that Jesus often interacted with. When examining Scripture we learn that Jesus challenged his followers to rise above their example. Jesus wanted his followers to have a different righteousness, to give, pray, and fast with pure motives, and to have a different view of the lost. Let’s learn from the Pharisees and not fall into the same trap of having a self-seeking and self-righteous attitude.

January 22, 2023 – Sunday PM Youth Area-Wide Worship – “Hakuna Matata (No Worries)”

Sunday PM sermon by Chase Surrell. Tonight is the youth area-wide worship at Great Oaks!

Jesus challenges His followers to not worry about material things. If God provides for the birds of the air and lilies of the field we can rest assured that He will provide for of us. Being anxious about material things does not help us in any way. Instead of allowing our minds to worry we are to focus minds on the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
